Third and final test match between host India and Sri Lanka will be played from Wednesday, 2nd December to Sunday, 6th December, 2009 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai and the timing is 09:30 IST, 04:00 GMT. India leading the 3 match series by 1-0.

India will be high after an inning win in the 2nd test match as they have done well in both batting and bowling department and now they will looking for n0.1 ICC test ranking with the win. Gautam Gambhir may miss this test because of sister marriage and M Vijay will take his place. Sreesanth has done well in his come back match and try to continue his good form.

Sri Lanka will try hard to level the series and they will highly depend on good start fro Tilakratne Dilshan as he flopped in both the innings which they lost. Muralitharan and Mendis will also under pressure to perform well.

Ceat International Cricket Aeard - Gambhir Cricketer of the year, Sehwag ODI Batsman

Indian in form batsman Gautam Gambhir won the International cricketer of the year as well as test batsman of the year award in a gala event of Ceat International cricket Awards on Sunday, 29th November, 2009 at Mumbai.

Gambhir scored 4 consecutive centuries in last 4 matches and he is in great form during 2008-09 season. Hard hitter nad Gamghir's opening partner Virender Sehwag won the ODI batsman of the year award.

Australian Mitchel Johnson won the test bowler of the year award while Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis won the ODI Bowler of the year award.

Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh won a special award by taking 300 test wickets. Sri Lanka batsman Thilan Samaraweera who got injured in the Lahore terror attack in March won the International Spirit of Cricket award.

Lifetime Achievement award has given to EAS Prasanna of India by cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar.

India won the 2nd test by an inning and 144 runs and registered their 100th test win. Sreesanth got Man of the Match for his six wickets in the match.

India registered their 100th test win with a style as they won the 2nd test match by an inning and 144 runs on the 4th day itself on Friday, 27th November, 2009 at Kanpur. Sreesanth won the Man of the Match award. India is leading the 3 match series by 1-0.

India needed six wickets on the 4th day and started well with Mathew gone early but Prasanna and Samarweera put 61 runs before Mendis gave frustraion with his 75 ball innings. Samarweera left with short of partners as he was not out on 78 runs.

India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Preview, Ind vs SL Second Test Teams at Kanpur

Second test match of the 3 match series between India and Sri Lanka will be played from Tuesday, 24th November to Saturday, 28th November, 2009 at Green Park, Kanpur and the timing will be 09:30 IST, 04:00 GMT.

India will be happy after successfully drawn the series and they will hope a better performance n 2nd test specially their bowlers as batting is doing fine as all batsman contributed well in the 1st test. Captain Dhoni may not be available as he hurt fingers in Ahmedabad and Karthik will replace him.

Sri Lankans played reallly well in the last test but they have yet register their first test win in India. Dilshan was superb in this year and doing well as opener. Muralitharan was toothleaas on flat pitch of Motera but will be dangerous on turning tracks.

Ind v SL 1st Test Result - Gambhir and Tendulkar scored century on 5th day as 1st Test Drawn

Gautam Gambhir and Sachin Tendulkar scored their 7th and 43rd test century on the 5th and final day of 1st test match and helped India to save the test on Friday, 20th October, 2009 at Ahmedabad.

India started the final day from 190/2 and trailing by 153 runs with Gambhr batting on 74 and night watcman Amit Mishra and after Mishra got out its master blaster Sachin Tendulkar first put 66 runs for the 4th wicket with Gambhir who scored 114 runs and then put 137 runs not out with Laxman who hit unbeaten 51 runs while Tendulkar made unbeaten 100 before both captain agreed for a draw on the flat pitch.

Mahela Jayawardhane got Man of the Match for his double century 275 runs in the 1st inning.

"The Wall" - Rahul Dravid brought back India from a deep trouble from 32/4 and helped theteam to finish the 1st day on 385/6 with unbeaten 177 runs with 26 fours and a six on Monday, 16th November, 2009 at Motera, Ahmedabad.

India were struggling on 32-4 with Gambhir, Sehwag, Tendulkar and Laxman were all back in the pavillion and then Dravid put 125 runs for the 5th wicket with Yuvraj who svore 68 runs and then
224 runs with captain Dhoni who also hit a brilliant century 110 runs with 10 fours and a six.

India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test Preview, Ind vs SL 1st Test Teams at Ahmedabad

 
First test match of 3 match series between India and Sri Lanka will be played from Monday, 16th November to Friday, 20th November, 2009 at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad and the timing will be 09:30 IST, 04:00 GMT.

India lost the ODI series to Australia but they beat Sri Lanka recently and test series is a different ball game. Arrival of test specialist Dravid and Laxman will add strength in the middle while Gambhir and Sehwag will open the inning. Zaheer Khan return will support weak bowling line with Amit Mishra in spin.

Sri Lanka is considering this series as final frontier and they will try take revenge of home series defeat. Dilshan's form and availabilty will be crucial at the top of the order while Sangakkara and Jayawardhane will be crucial in the middle.

Indian Team, Squad announced for test Series against Sri Lanka, Zaheer annd Sreesanth recalled

Indian selectors announced 15 members team for the first 2 test of the 3 match series against Sri Lanka and recalled fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and Sreesanth on Wednesday, 10th November, 2009.

Left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha and S Badrinath also recalled in the team and opener M Vijay retained his position. Test specialit Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman back in team for test series while Munaf Patel, Ashis Nehra and Praveen Kumar not included in the team.

India vs Australia 7th ODI Preview, Ind vs Aus 7th One Day Teams at Mumbai


Seventh and final ODI between host India and world champions Australia will be played on Wednesday, 11th November, 2009 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in a day-night game and timing is 14:30 IST, 09:00 GMT. Australia already won the 7 match series by 4-2.

India lost the series and now they can play for some pride and reduce the margin and also they can do some experiment before full tour of Sri Lanka. Gambhir is out of from starting from the series and can try to regain some form.

Australia will be on high after a crucial series win despite injury to their key players like Lee, hopes Clarke and Siddle. They will try to end the series with a win before long series at home.

Ind vs Aus 6th ODI Result - Australia won by 6 wickets, won series by 4-2


In a low scoring and one side match Australia beat host India by 6 wickets with 49 balls remaining in the 6th ODI and won the 7 match series by 4-2 on Sunday, 8th November, 2009 at Guwahati.

India bowled out on 170 runs in 48 overs due to fine bowling by Doug Bollinger, who took 5-27 and then chased comfortably with Shane Watson's run a ball 49 runs.

India and Australia will meet for the 6th ODI on Sunday, 8th October, 2009 at at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati in a day game starting from 09:00 IST, 08:30 GMT. Australia leading the 7 match series by 3-2 with 2 matches to go.

India lost the last game despite a heroic inning of Sachin Tendulkar and now they have to win both the games in order to win the series. Sehwag is doing well to provide a good start but some one need to finish the game. Bowling is a real worry for India.

Australia kept their nerve in the end to take an important lead as their most key players are injured. Shaun Marsh back in form with a century and as an opener to give depth in the middle. McKay bowled well in the end and made perfect debut.

Tendulkar's 45th ODi century took India very close to a remarkable victory but it was so near so far as India lost the 5th ODI by 3 runs against Australia on Thursday, 5th November, 2009 at Hyderabad.
